Heather Hicks is a skilled facilitator, trainer and coach, and has been working with US & international non-profits for the past 35 years. Her coaching sweet spots include staff engagement and retention, board development, messaging, strategic planning, and personal and organizational fundraising with a focus on Kingdom-oriented leadership approaches

Heather graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with an Education degree, then earned a Master of Biblical Counseling and went on to gain specialization certificates in non-profit leadership and organizational development, cultural intelligence, leadership coaching, adult education and discovery methodology, member care, crisis response, psychological and spiritual first aid, grief, trauma and stress management. Heather has built high-functioning teams that pioneered awarded winning services for internal staff development, and has multiplied successful programs serving local and global communities. 

In addition to her work with Venture 1:9, Heather serves as Board Chair for Coaching Mission International and as a Director on the Disciple Nations Alliance Board – Heather loves to partner with courageous leaders to help them fulfill their God-given callings, all for the glory of God!

Heather grew up in the great Northwest, has traveled and worked abroad extensively and is now enjoying living in Arizona closer to her aging parents.
